Manufacturer Warranty Description Purolator filters are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship in accordance with the terms and conditions described below. This limited warranty is effective for the recommended service interval and driving severity published in the owner's vehicle manual ("Warranty Period"). Purolator will replace any Filter which is found to be defective in material or workmanship and is within the Warranty Period. If Purolator further determines, in its sole discretion, that the alleged defective Filter caused engine damage during the Warranty Period, Purolator will also repair or replace any damaged engine parts. New car warranties are not affected by use of Purolator filters. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER damage due to: -use of filter on non-approved or non-recommended applications -misuse, negligence, modification, accidents, abuse, or improper maintenance, operation or installation; -use of motor oil other than the viscosity and type recommended in the ownerʼs vehicle manual; -unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts; -failure caused by rust or corrosion. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS VOID if filters are submitted in a condition that prohibits testing to validate any alleged defect or malfunction. Claims must be submitted within 30 days after discovery of damage. Purolator Technical Services Department reserves the right to examine the engine and filter to determine the amount of damage and whether it was caused by a defective Purolator filter. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED. PUROLATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM OR CAUSED BY THE USE, OPERATION, FAILURE OR DEFECT OF ANY PUROLATOR FILTER.
